The ICR-3231 4G LTE gateway is the perfect solution for connecting IP or serial devices over a cellular network. Industrial M2M and IoT applications include SCADA, industrial PCs, HMIs, traffic controls, CCTV, meters, kiosks, UPS systems and much more.
With LTE Cat.4 upload speeds of up to With 50 Mbit/s and download speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s, the router offers plenty of bandwidth for applications with high data requirements. The device has two SIM card readers for redundancy in the event of operator failures. The router is also prepared for the use of an internal eSIM card (customization).
In addition to the two independent Ethernet ports, the serial ports RS232 and RS485, the ICR-3200 has integrated digital I/O Connectivity, a backup real-time clock and support for sleep mode. An optional integrated WiFi module with 802.11a,b,g,n,ac modes, 2×2 MIMO support and Bluetooth v5.1 is available. The optional integrated GNSS chipset provides information about the exact location of the router.
The ICR-3231 features a powerful 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU, 512MB RAM and 4GB EMMC FLASH memory in the pSLC Mode for long life and critical industrial applications. 1.3 GB of storage space is reserved for customer SW applications and data.
With an open Linux-based ICR-OS operating system and extensive options for programming customer SW applications in Python, C/C++ or the browser-based flow editor Node-RED or even Docker containers, the ICR-3200 offers a true open development platform for industrial IoT applications.
The existing Advantech Router app library (user modules) with apps already developed for improvement Specific router features, including industrial protocol conversions and support for IoT platforms such as MS Azure, Cumulocity and others, are supported on the router.
The router supports the establishment of VPN tunnels with various protocols to ensure a secure to ensure communication. The router offers diagnostic features that include automatic monitoring of wireless and wired connections, automatic reboot in the event of connection loss, and a hardware watchdog to monitor router status.
The ICR-3200 can be operated using WebAccess/DMP, a Full-featured, cloud-based management, deployment and monitoring tool for mass deployment, easy to manage. WebAccess/VPN is a perfect way to create secure virtual private networks on the Internet.
